Re: [IRCA] Missing DX Test QSLs

Hi Patrick,

I remember 2GB 873 QSL card you talk about, very beautiful card indeed. I have misplaced all my Australian QSL cards folder at the moment, but I was just looking through all my QSL letters and they bring back memories. The letterhead logos are worth scanning and collecting.
You are probadly right about aussie stations not too interested in domestic reception reports but very interested in International reception reports. I have many QSL cards and Letters from African AM broadcast stations.

Thanks

James,

Maybe the issue in Australia when you lived there, the stations were not
excited about a domestic report. I have had that here. My return on
Aussies were nearly 100%. Japan also is very good as is New Zealand. I
have over 200 Aussies QSL'd and most were received without a follow up.
That was mostly in the 80s/90s. But it was sure fun while it lasted. I
don't hear that many DUs these days. I remember in the Summer of 79
going to the post office one day and finding 7 QSLs. 4 from Australia
and 3 from New Zealand. 2GB 873 was in the bunch with a beaufiful QSL
card of a sunset and the large Gold call letters in the distance.
Unbelieveable QSLs. Ah, the good ol' days.
