[IRCA] 24 Nov Victoria version.

An odd morning. Not so good on the usual trans-Pacifics, a couple more Chinese....and the Middle East.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

594 JOAK 1444UT //567

972 HLCA man in Korean after pips1500UT

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling with splash or noise):

774 JOUB 1513UT

828 JOBB 1515UT

945 CNR1 woman in Chinese, 1537UT; had been ID'd a couple of minutes earlier with //6175, and a delay that some webstreams can better.

1575 Iran buzz jammer doing a very effective job of jamming presumed VoA. Didn't notice it until 1520UT when I first switched over to the north Flag, might have been in for awhile. Was pretty much gone by 1530UT

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

567 NZ? man talking, DU English 1519UT; an outlier this morning

603 HLSA //558 1446UT

855 woman in Chinese 1437UT; weaker female choral music also 1436UT, likely N. Korea, trading places

918 woman in Chinese 1445UT

981 CNR1 woman echoing //945 which wasn't echoing; 1447UT

1575 woman talking, SE Asian language? 1518UT. Not chance for IDs on hour and half hour

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)

558 HLQH //603 1446UT

567 JOIK //594 1444UT

594 3WV ABC fanfare well under JOAK 1500UT

693 JOAB //774 1503UT

738 vaguely oriental sounding ballad 1504UT; no parallel available

747 JOIB //774 1502UT

873 JOGB //828 1448UT

1017 CRI chimes 1500UT

1287 man and woman, Japanese intonation 1516UT

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter)

  621 639 666 675 702 801   846 864 891 936 1008  1089  1242 1566   seemed to be Asian;
576 702 seemed to be DU

best wishes,

Nick
