[IRCA] TP 8 Oct Victoria version.

As others have pointed out, rather a deadly morning, with a few odd weak ones, and still a couple of Asians

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

nope

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

594 surprisingly JOAK delivered this level a couple of times at 1333 and 1357UT with man and woman in Japanese

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

594 3WV man in DU English at 1307UT, but also at 1401UT, though with poorer level

774 JOUB woman in Japanese 1327UT

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)

603 man talking, island language? definitely better on west Flag 1401UT Waatea?

612 4QR woman talking 1402UT //594

657 quiet vocal music, quiet woman speaking 1352UT, likely Star?

693 JOAB assumed with English lessons 1407-09T

756 RNZ National assumed with jazz, pips, man with "...news" 1400UT

828 JOBB woman talking //774 1337UT

1296 man and woman talking, DU English intonation perhaps; not //612/594, and no ZB parallels available

1494 woman talking 1403UT, Tagalog maybe?

1503 man mumbling 1404-06UT, sounded almost like preaching

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter)

747 seemed to be Asian;
531 567 585 675 738 837 1098 1215 1476 1584.025 seemed to be DU (Napier NZ is supposed to be around 1584.025kHz)

best wishes,

Nick
