[IRCA] TP DX Report Kalaloch 3/25/18

This morningâs session saw a nice uptick in TP stations received. For a minute I was wondering if this location predominantly favored Japanese stations. It seems other PNW TP DXers also noted similar conditions.

531 at 1450 poor audio w/male & fem poss in JJ, through QRM

558 at 1452 w/Asian pop song in KK?, fair to decent audio under splatter, male & fem anncrs in KK? also w/big het 

567 at 1408 w/good to strong audio, male in JJ, poss JOIK

594 at 1420 fair to decent audio w/fem in JJ, JOAK

603 at 1422 decent audio w/pop type ballad, perhaps in KK, fem anncr in KK? poss HLSA

666 at 1427 w/ fair to good audio w/male & female in JJ, JOBK (50 kW KLTT w/IBOC makes this impossible in CO)

684 at 1430 w/ very weak audio, male in unknown Lang, lots of QRM

693 at 1431 w/armchair level audio, male & fem w/JJ and/or EE lesson w/baseball theme

702 at 1433 w/fair to good audio, male & fem in KK?, fanfare

738 at 1436 w/fair to good audio, male & fem in Indonesian maybe, fem almost overmodulating, into jingle/fanfare, fem repeated âAM 738â twice, big het in background 

747 at 1439 w/fair audio through splatter, two males in JJ, JOIB

774 at 1441 w/armchair level audio, male & fem w/JJ and/or EE lesson, baseball theme

783 at 1443 w/weak audio, male & fem in CC? flutter fadey

828 at 1446 w/armchair level audio w/male & fem w/JJ and/or EE lesson, baseball theme

846 at 1448 w/ very poor audio, male & fem in unknown lang 

855 at 1455 w/very faint audio, fem in unknown lang 

873 at 1457 w/fair to good audio, w/male & fem in JJ, fanfare, JOJB perhaps

945 at 1504 w/ fair audio w/ male in poss KK, under splatter

954 at 1505 w/ fem in JJ?, under splatter, JOKR perhaps

963 at 1507 w/very weak audio, male in unknown lang, in jumble

972 at 1509 w/armchair level audio, w/male & fem in KK?, HLCA, significant het 

1242 at 1518 w/ weak audio, w/ male & fem in JJ, JOLF perhaps

1566 at 1513 w/ armchair audio on peaks, w/choir mx, HLAZ

1575 at 1515 w/ very faint audio w/ male in poss Asian lang

One more day here at Kalaloch. At least I found out where some of the TPs were hiding! The gear helps immensely also!
