[IRCA] TP 22 Jan Victoria version
Quite a mess this morning,...apparently New Zealand through to
China. The NHK2 stations signing off at 1500UT, but not turning
off their carriers confused things further. Finally, everything
pretty much quit by sunrise.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
594 JOAK woman in Japanese //567 1521UT
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
567 JOIK woman talking //594 1521UT
693 JOAB s/off music box 1504UT
774 JOUB pop vocal and woman in Japanese 1456UT
828 JOBB s/off music box 1503UT
1566 HLAZ woman in Chinese 1543UT
1593 CNR1 woman in Chinese 1536UT, ID'd a couple of minutes later //639
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
747 JOIB music box s/off 1502UT
891 JOHK NHK1 interlude music briefly at this level 1510UT
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music)
531 JOQG NHK1 interlude music 1510UT
576 woman talking, sounded like DU English 1523UT; 2RN?
585 JOPG man talking //594, then NHK1 interlude music 1510UT
603 Radio Waatea; see 765...was quite difficult to get these two up
at the same time.
639 CNR1 woman talking //6125 1540UT
765 Radio Kahungunu apparently...man talking, quite murky, then
country sounding music; seemed //603 but leading by half a second or
so...bit of a surprise
873 JOGB s/off music box 1503UT
972 vocal music 1541UT, assumed HLCA, but never amounted to much
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter)
1053 1143 1242 1287 1359 1386 1404 1422 1494 1503 1512 1539
1557 seemed to be Asian;
612 621 846 855 1017 1098 seemed to be DU
