I also remember how the following day (the 23) was my birthday and how all
the drive-in movies in the area (Dallas) were closed, As were most
restaurents. There wasn't any place for my girlfriend and I to go. BUT, I do
remember that it turned out to be a VERY go birthday after all.

I'll be 62 tomorrow, and folks I still get emotinal over the thought it.

I was flying home to Buffalo, NY from Norfolk, VA for Thanksgiving Leave.
Heard the news that President Kennedy had been shot while I boarding in the
Norfolk Airport..  As we circled for a landing at National Airport (now
Reagan) all the flags were at half mast.  It was a very somber flight on to
Buffalo.
