[IRCA] TP 20 Sept Victoria version
Not too much action today...sort of the regulars, erratically fading
up then mostly down again. Signals from both DU and Asia seemed to
peak a bit as local sunrise approached at 1400UT
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
not today, though 594 and 774 were briefly close
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
594 JOAK two men in Japanese 1331UT
612 4QR assumed, man in DU English 1336UT
747 JOIB Chinese lessons 1342UT, better on west Flag
774 JOUB Chinese lessons 1334UT o/3LO
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
576 2RN female vocals //585 1355UT, just before local industrial
noise sat on it
594 3WV woman and man talking, somewhat //612 1237UT
675 RNZ National man in DU English //756 1343UT
828 JOBB English lessons 1200UT; didn't approach this level later
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music)
585 7RN female vocal //576 1355UT
603 slow music, likely Waatea
621 3RN man mumbling //576 1346UT
756 RNZ National 1343UT man //675
774 3LO teletalk //828, 594 1329UT
828 3GI as 774/594 at 1329UT
891 JOHK woman and man talking //594; slight offset; 1317UT
1566 HLAZ recognizable s/off sequence for Japanese program 1342UT
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter)
693 972 1242 1287 seemed to be Asian;
567 864 891 1035 1098 1251 1548 seemed to be DU
best wishes,
Nick
