[IRCA] TP 29 July Victoria version

Asians poorer today, DU rather better particularly around 1230UT

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

no

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

774 unID DU 1224UT man talking DU English, briefly this level, "by 43 points", and a number of other readable phrases. No parallels, but thinking 3LO

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

594 3WV?? folky harmonies 1243UT, woman talking immediately afterward seemed to be one of the singers? not //612 or 702.
576 2RN assumed, man in DU English 1227UT
612 4QR woman in DU English 1236UT; //702

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)

558 choral music, island feel to it? 1225UT Fiji?
702 2BL man talking //612 1235UT
756 female pop vocal 1216UT, NZ?
774 JOUB faded up over DU station by 1159 with interlude music and pips on the hour
1566 woman talking, Chinese inflection 1126UT

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter)

594 747 828 972  seemed to be Asian;
549 585 603 792 828 891 1098 seemed to be DU

best wishes,

Nick
