[IRCA] TP 25 Feb Victoria version
An exhausting 10 minute sunrise enhancement 1440-1450UT...far too
many things going on...many carriers teetering on the edge of audio,
many audios teetering on the edge of being two audios, what a mess,
likely missed a number of things. Conditions were pretty reasonable
beforehand, but that 10 minutes blew it all away.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
594 JOAK,piano music ,1447UT parallel with a number of others
972 HLCA man in Korean 1444UT
1566 HLAZ man in Chinese 1450UT, still very readable with man in Korean 1619UT
1593 CNR1 man in Chinese, 1449UT; way under was NHK2, woman talking //774
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
558 HLQH female vocal //603 1442UT, but by 1446 Japanese talk also?
567 JOIK piano music //594 1445UT, woman talking underneath
603 HLSA female vocal //558 1446UT, but there had been another
station with a different ballad at 1444UT mixing with this.
and, 747, 774, 828 NHK2....never really rising to top strength, but
often at this level.
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
1134 KBS woman in Korean 1442UT
1314 JOUF men in Japanese, general hilarity 1443UT
1377 CNR1 man in Chinese //1593 1445UT
1503 JOUK piano music //594 1444UT
1575 VoA likely, man in SE Asian language 1443UT
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music)
531 JOQK pinao music //594 1446UT
612 JOLK piano music //594 1446UT, maybe something else too?
639 CNR1 man talking //1593 1449UT
873 JOGB / N. Korea? woman talking //774 but also operatic singing 1438UT
891 JOHK soft music //594 1444UT
1044 woman talking, Japanese inflection 1440UT
1107 piano ballad 1440UT
1179 a mess of talking, maybe Chinese and Japanese?
1332 man talking, Japanese inflection 1444UT
1386 NHK2 woman talking //747 1451UT
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter)
549 558 621 702 711 738 846 864 918 1008 1035 1053 1062 1098
1116 1143 1161 1179 1188 1206 1242 1251 1269 1287 1422 1458
1494 1539 seemed to be Asian; no likely DU?
best wishes,
Nick
