That was a pretty productive morning, almost all DU and most of the 
interesting receptions taking place well before sunrise


pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, 
at least briefly):

612 4QR Had been heard fairly well earlier, but this one shone at 
1504UT with a sports report, capital area weather for various 
capitals (warm...that was 30-35 degrees C, not the 30-35 F this 
listener was experiencing), then ABC News and ABC local radio promo.



Reasonable audio  at  times during the period (much of it 
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or 
noise could be understood by a native speaker:

702 2BL man talking, woman on phone, DU English //774 1314UT; heard 
as late as 1536UT, but weaker.
738 2NR man in DU English, another man on phone //702 1328UT
828 JOBB an outlier with English lessons 1412UT; heard 1343-8UT with 
apparent Chinese lessons, but weaker
972 HLCA another oddball with man in Korean 1420UT
1116  4BC likely with man in DU English 1329UT



Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be 
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in 
talk or music)

576 2RN perhaps with woman and man talking, DU inflection 1423UT, no 
// available
594 3WV/JOAK   ABC fanfare following NHK pips 1400UT
621 3RN man talking //612 1404UT
747 4QS man talking //612, 1339UT
774 3LO Frosty the Snowman 1537UT, man in DU English? //702
792 4RN man with news? //774 1301UT, slight echo between them.
855 4QO/4QB rhythmic interlude then man talking //774 1308UT, about 
one second delay relative to 774
891 5AN barely audible fanfare 1430UT, fade up a bit with man 
talking, sounded DU English



Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or 
ravaged by splatter)
