[IRCA] TP 7 Dec Victoria version

As Gary has pointed out, a Japanese morning....and more luck with smaller NHK1s.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

774 JOUB man in Japanese 1506UT
1503 JOUK man and woman in Japanese 1514UT, earlier noted //594

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

594 JOAK NHK1 interlude music 1510UT
747 JOIB man in Japanese 1505UT, today was 10dB weaker than adjacent channel domestics

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

1422 JORF assumed, man in Japanese, woman responding 1520UT

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)

531 JOQG woman talking, briefly strong enough to establish parallel with 594 1522-3UT
567 JOIK man talking //594 1524UT
585 JOPG man mumling //594 1508UT
693 JOAB man and woman talking 1529UT //774, even a 20dB null on 690 didn't really knock down the splatter enough to make this readable
702 2BL woman talking //612 which was also very weak 1514UT
891 JOHK man talking //594 1512UT
972 vocal music 1522UT
1134 rock music; man speaking, Japanese inflection 1533UT
1386 NHK2 woman talking //774 1504UT
1566 woman talking, sounded Chinese 1513UT; last gasp was choral music at 1641UT

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter) lots of near audio here

558 603 738 837 1314 1332 1404 1431 1458 1494 1512

best wishes,

Nick
