Subject: [IRCA] Puyallup, WA Ultralight TP's for 12-7
Improved Asian conditions brought an energetic collection of Japanese big
guns in the predawn darkness, along with 972-HLCA and several high band
regulars during sunrise enhancement.
At my 1430 start time the NHK regulars on 594, 693, 747, 774 and 828 were in
and out with good audio, although the usual Koreans on 972, 1053 and 1566
were anemic at best. Propagation shifted toward the latter group as daylight
increased, though, with 972-HLCA and 1566-HLAZ a couple of the best
performers after 1510 with good peaks until 1530. 1575-VOA and 1593-CNR1
also came out of the noise to manage fair audio by 1515, although 594-JOAK
continued to be the star performer throughout the session with good audio in
and out as late as 1545. Second-tier Asians were in short supply with only
657-Pyongyang, a presumed 738-BEL2 and 1134-JOQR managing ghostly audio
peaks from 1500-1515. With the exception of 1593 the Chinese were also
missing in action during the routine session, which was lacking in variety
and drama.
