You are right, Walt.

A quick check with Google fares shows for the months of December and
January, Ottawa to Galena airfares range from $1600 to $2900.

Airfare cost is the single biggest impediment for me. I was lucky to go to
Dayton Hamvention and the IRCA Convention once. I had enough Aeroplan
points at the time, and did not have to pay all the extras that Aeroplan
now charges when redeeming them.

Only comment on this topic. LOL
