[IRCA] TP 17 Nov Victoria version

Not a loud morning, but there was some interest. My recording was on the North Flag this morning, so missed out on 738, 1098 etc., but still got some 1116.

Low band Asians were primarily from sunset enhancement at the transmitter.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

not quite

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

1566 HLAZ first signs of this were a bit of mumbling around 1450UT, but didn't really develop until 1510UT, getting to this level by 1523UT, with a female ballad. Stayed more or less at similar level for about 5 more minutes, including some Chinese talk by a woman

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

747 JOIB woman in Japanese 0758UT, fading to weak pips on hour
774 JOUB pips at 0800UT, and a minute or so of Japanese talk by man before fading out

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)

594 woman and man talking, Japanese perhaps, 0800UT, but did not hear pips on the hour. A reprise with a man talking at 1523UT, too rough to really tell language, but could be Japanese.
1116 brief music 1509-10UT, plus some mumbling.
1593 CNR1 woman and man talking //6125 1521UT

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter) lots of near audio here

621 702 738 756 882 891 1098 1179 1242 1386 1422 1503

best wishes,

Nick
