Pete,
Looks like the same numbers pretty much for this
QTH:
Mileages are approximate.
Albany, OR 70 mi. south of
Portland
1230 KCUP Toledo 40mi Closest, yet a most
difficult catch.
1240 KEJO Corvallis - Local.
1340 KLOO Corvallis - Local.
1400 KBCH Lincoln City 40mi Not
common.
1450 KLZS Eugene 40mi Common.
1490 KBZY Salem 30 mi Semi Common
nights.
I know what you mean about Ely. It's like locating
a gas station between towns. My two "locals", are actually in the
next town over, but I call them locals because I can't null them easily, hi.
Sometimes I just listen through them. It's painful to the ears, but if there's a
break sometimes something slips through. I've caught KLOO off once and did
pretty good. Phooey on my locals, hi. One of the strange things I've
noticed from this QTH is that I know I have a lot of stations running N/S from
me, but to the E/W, there isn't that much regionally to interfere. But the
thing is, on alot of frequencies, there just seems to be nothing to be had in
those directions. Hmmm?
