Issue with 1017 here is that I get nothing resembling the carrier strength
I get from 1098 which can be over 30 dB above the noise floor.

Re: V7AB I recall you know someone there. Could you please check and see
exactly how much power they are getting out of their fixed up xmtr? I read
10 kW but I see them spec'd at 25 kW which seems more believable to me.
