[IRCA] TP 27 Sep Victoria version

It got a bit more Aussie, even New Zealandish, but the big gun Asians struggled through, especially earlier.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

774 JOUB Korean lessons 1306UT; still pretty good 1338UT w/Chinese lessons, though had been beaten around by 3LO in the interim

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

594 JOAK man talking Japanese, pips 1200UT
612 4QR man in DU English 1332UT //702
702 2BL man inviting me to try ABC radio app; dowload now, then a woman mentioning Nightlife program
828 JOBB English leeson //774 1057UT

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

585 7RN man in DU English 1349UT, //621
693 JOAB woman talking, music interlude 1307UT //774, fighting CBU splatter
738 jazz 1200UT and other times, never //ABC, so assumed Tahiti
747 JOIB pips and start of Korean lesson 1300UT
756 RNZ National man and woman in DU English 1335UT, something about whales and seals, snagged //675 a little later
774 3LO pips and ABC fanfare u/JOUB 1300UT
891 JOHK woman in Japanese //594 1308UT
1053 jammer 1253UT
1548 4QD man talking //612 but delayed by a second or so; 1344UT
1566 HLAZ piano music, woman in Japanese 1390UT

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)

603 man in Pacific island talk (Maori?) 1359UT
621 3RN laid back music, 1322UT, no parallels just then though, but snagged it at 1349UT w/ talk //585 675 RNZ National woman talking DU English? 1340UT //567, also weak, then //756 at 1342UT
873 JOGB woman talking //774 1305UT
909 vocal pop music 1346UT; Star?
1134 man talking Japanese inflection 1344UT
1242 pop music 1331UT, woman talking, maybe Japanese?

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter) lots of near audio here

549 846 1098

best wishes,

Nick
