[IRCA] Sept 26 - Victoria B.C. Canada TP final report

My session matched Gary's in Puyallup right down to the decibel.

NHK Japan took centre stage and took turns punching out the domestic
stations on their home turf.

Listened from 1305 until 1340 and packed it in even though the band
appeared to hold a lot of quirky promise.

NHK 1 and 2 held court on 594, 693 (giving CBC Vancouver a jolly good
walloping), 747 (beset by splash from Vancouver's horrible and overly wide
signal),
774 JOUB Akita at its season best ( https://youtu.be/X68T7z5lhTM ) - 828,
873, and 891.

Korea managed a half-hearted jam session on 1053 but was often overcome by
a Korean or Japanese speaker that sounded somewhat parallel
in content or style to 1008 Khz.

This session belonged to the lower and mid-band but an anemic sounding 1566
Korea held fast - no sign of any jammer on that channel yet.

657 Khz managed a pretty swarthy appearance at 1337

As illustrated in this very brief 3 minute YouTube
<https://youtu.be/X68T7z5lhTM> clip - https://youtu.be/X68T7z5lhTM JOUB
Akita on 774 Khz threatened the front end of my Drake R8 with vaporization.
Such is life on the Pacific coast.
