[IRCA] Puyallup, WA Ultralight TP's for 9-14

What was a very healthy band at my 1255 start time took a major swoon with increasing daylight, causing both the big gun TP's and many less common Asians to fizzle down into mediocrity. Huge signals on 1566 and 1575 disappeared, along with weaker Chinese signals on 936, 1017, 1035, 1044, 1206 and 1323.

My first band check in the predawn darkness at 1250 revealed both the middle and high band in great form, with a diverse variety of Asian signals. Although the Japanese big guns were subdued both 1566-HLAZ and 1575-VOA were at very good levels, while the Chinese stations on 936, 1017, 1035, 1323 and 1593 were in and out at their seasonal best levels (fair). Propagation collapsed dramatically with the first sign of daylight around 1305, and by 1320 no TP's on the entire band could manage more than a fair level. The low band Asians which had been fairly quiet before 1300 did make a halfhearted appearance around 1330, with 594-JOAK, 603-HLSA, 657-Pyongyang and 738-BEL2 in and out with poor to fair audio. On the other hand none of the middle or high band TP's ever regained their previous strength, finishing off the session with one of the major collapses in recent memory.
