[IRCA] TP 5 Sep Victoria version
Definitely an Asian morning, but think that Colin had the edge on the
actual receptions. Things seemed very splashy here, while the DX was
peaking erratically, otherwise, not too strong.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
747 JOIB woman in Japanese, think the man responding was also 1312UT
774 JOUB English lessons, 1312UT, "you had all summer to do it"
1287 JOHR man in Japanese, woman agreeing 1304UT; somewhat weaker at
1233UT, but nice "HBC Radyo" ID by man
1566 HLAZ big Japanese program s/on, FEBC, HLA-zeto IDs; peaking at
several other times over the next 40 minutes or so
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
828 JOBB English lessons 1316UT
1053 Korean jammer 1235UT, all I seemed to be hearing on this channel
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
594 JOAK man in Japanese 1309UT
873 JOGB English lessons 1254UT
1575 VoA likely, man and woman in SE Asian language
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music)
567 JOIK man in Japanese //594 1315UT
612 4QR? man mumbling 1337UT seemed //702, also mumbling
954 woman and man talking, sounded Japanese 1317UT
1134 man talking, Japanese inflection 1306UT
1143 woman talking Chinese inflection 1307UT
1242 woman talking Japanese inflection 1327UT
1386 NHK2 synchros man and woman talking //828 1301UT
1503 JOUK man and woman in Japanese //594, brief "peak" (extreme
minimalist) 1311UT
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter)
621 855 891 909 972 1008 1098 1116 1224 1269 1332 1422 1548
best wishes,
Nick
