John & Stephen, Lately there have been reports coming in from the east and midwest US of Wobblers on 740 -- including both of yours, thank you -- presumed R.Progreso, Camaguey. Unfortunately, a 24/7 local on that channel makes it impossible for me to hear anything. As skywave conditions improve, some of the other Wobbler channels may pick up in activity detectable far afield. They're never quiet, but often don't reach far. 680 is always a good candidate, but others are also possible. I'll try to post alerts on any that are likely to be getting out beyond my little part of the world. Curt W. I haven't heard one on this freq until now. They are just coming on for a second at a time and as I type they are getting louder and more wobbly. Best regards, John HunterI am in Iowa and I heard the same thing under CHWO on 740 night before last. CHWO was very strong and for a while so was the wobbler. Steve |
