Re: [IRCA] 590 Musical Off to a Wobbling Restart; 15 0022Z OCT 05; PVZ

Getting back to the original point of this thread:

At 20:06:30edt 10/15, 590 R.Musical launched another of the Big Ones, a violent excursion settling to a Wobbler and then back to normal in a period of a few seconds. This is as Paul Z. described yesterday.

I just happened to be giving 590 its daily chance in the spot light and it rewarded me with a special performance. Considering that WAFC, Clewiston, was way on top with accordion music, that this cut through on the channel as it did, was quite impressive.

Each time I hear one of these I can only think of some sort of switch over that sets them off.

Radio Musical 590, La Julia, Habana. Beautiful accompaniement to idyllic day, Chopin nocturnes flow elegantly into American Standards. Reminiscent of pre-scabies-rat 1560 WQXR albeit better - no commercials. En Socialismo, nothing to sell, nothing to hawk.

12:21:25 EDT abruptly off air, daily event. After couple seconds returns, wobbling about 240 wobbles/sec, steadily decreasing in pitch. After few seconds wobbling gone, signal good.

For purposes of taping, R-390#6 fed w/DA-5 Loop rather than wire ants, so as to null both Clewiston FL XE format and WDIZ Panama City, FL . Weak remaining carrier probably from Clewiston XE apparently sufficient to beat up Musical as it wobbled its way to stability.

Remainder of day's faire enchanting, strong sig, fidelity excellent. Moozie's back.
