Whatever.

I'm not interested in a fight, just tried to explain the reference you asked about.

Since I didn't say any of the things you are correcting, I'm not sure the point of your comments.  I certainly don't appreciate being called politically incorrect, or any other names.

I'll not bother you further, and trust you'll show the same consideration.

I guess I can see your point. Still, calling a format “Mexican” is highly inaccurate, as the kind of music on WAFC is popular in many countries. Similarly, the stations in Miami are not all directed at “Cubans” and, except for a couple of the AM talkers, would not be properly referred to as “Cuban” formats. Personally, I find calling the WAFC format “Mexican” to be a tad on the politically incorrect side. Of course, I don’t think there is a “Cuban” format, either.

It's pretty obvious when you listen to WAFC Clewiston, as compared to the Cubans and domestics programming for Cubans.  Those of us in Florida often make the distinction between Cuban origin, Cuban directed and other Spanish language formats.  Might not be so obvious to someone in California.

Oh. I have no idea what a specific “Mexican” format would be, though… since there are so many of them, ranging from Spanish rock to oldies. I’ve never heard of an “American” format, either (g) .

I would guess than an XE format is Mexican; a reference to the XE-- Mexican calls.
