[IRCA] Norway 1314

t1314    NORWAY, weak mx with strong carrier at 0430 UTC 10/14, but deep
fades, to non existant including carrier to audible audio. The question
I asked earlier in the year when I installed the 45 foot vertical with
ground radials to the N/NE, would this get TA's. I got my answer
tonight. At the time of reception, there was not a peep of even the
carrier off the EWE or the 1500' Eastern beverage. None! So with the
lobe to the N/NE with the vertical, TA's are in that direction. It was
as different as night and day. Without the vertical, I would not even
have known of this opening. I did not hear anything tonight on 1215, at
least as yet.
I have 40 ground radials and there is enough room for 100, so I will be
adding more. These are not buried but on top of the ground. This is
great!
