I have had my MW attenuation removed per information from Dallas Lankford
and Guy Atkins. As I mentioned once before, it isn't so much of a problem on
the EC as the WC, but its nice to know I am getting all the horsepower I
can. I also have a DX Engineering RPA1 Preamplifier in line when needed. I
know that Guy along with other DXers with modified Icoms have been very
pleased with results on DXpeditions in the Northwest.
I should point out that the modification is not, per se, extremely
complicated, however professional equipment and skill is required. I still
have the components removed from my 756 and I would need the Hubble
telescope to do it myself, they are so small.
