On this side of the Rockies, 1290 is dominated during the day by WIRL
Peoria, IL (in full, high-quality AM Stereo, I might add) with its Classic
Country format. At night, I can still hear WIRL in Stereo; KKAR Omaha, NE
(K-Car), WHIO Dayton, OH and WKLJ Sparta, WI take turns competing with WIRL at
night.
