I agree with you. Preserving AM and FM radio is possible. But it will require using OUR HEADS -- not just our hearts. Give the AM daytimer a reason to move to fM. Clear out the driftwood of AM low powered stations that JAM up the BAND. Increase the "PROTECTION" to AM stations. Keep the Regionals at 10 KW -- not 50 KW. Will KJR or the 1300 in Seattle cover any more REAL listeners with 50 KW. NO Get rid of the 570 Daytimer in Alturas, CA. and give KVI on 570 10 KW and KLAC in Los Angeles 10 KW. From border to border coverage on 570. Increase the protection distance. Weed out the weeds. Get the Broadcaster ON OUR SIDE. They have the reason and the cash to get it done.
