The 54 to 72 Mhz AM band -- would Move the SMALL AM stations -- now operating with less than 1 KW -- fulltime as well as any Daytimer to a NEW FM Band within the 54 - 72 Mhz area. 90 FM channels. The first ten channels would be restricted to power to protect the HAM band. any AM station would be granted a station class --- equal to the existing AM coverage. If a 250 watt AM daytimer on 1560 were to be moved to the NEW FM Band -- it would be given a class "A" FM status -- and operate with 6 KW. The ten lower channels could be restricted to low power use to protect the HAM band.
