Re: [IRCA] digital recorder

Tim,

Were you recording with the built-in mike or an external input?

Distorted audio like what you describe was the problem I had trying to do recordings with the RCA RP 5016A from my receiver line-out connection.

I tried some things to match line-out level to mic-in, but had no luck getting decent audio.

Hopefully you'll have better luck.

I picked one up tonight in hopes of using it on my upcoming trip.
It's nice and compact, but so far every recording I've made has either
been too weak to hear or (if I turn the volume/gain up) obliterated by
loud squeals and scratches.  I'll keep working on it, and see if I can
get some good audio on it...   73, Tim
