Since several people say they use Total Recorder, I thought there might be some interest in this info about a new version. It seems to address some shortcomings that have been mentioned.

Subject: Total Recorder Professional Edition 5.1 has been released
This new Professional Edition has a number of new features including:
- The Sound Image feature has been enhanced. You can now work with the Sound Image in a separate Window and adjust the size and scale of the Window.
- During a scheduled recording, Total Recorder can now attempt to re-connect to the Internet or restart a job when problems arise, for example when a connection is lost.
- A scheduled recording may be muted.
- Generation rules may be used for some tags such as the Comments field.
- A number of other enhancements that improve the usability and reliability of the program.
The Professional Edition also supports two program add-ons. A Spectrum Analyzer and Graphic Equalizer are provided as one add-on and an Audio Restoration facility is provided as a second add-on. The Spectrum Analyzer and Graphic Equalizer Add-on is a no-cost download. The Audio Restoration Add-on is available to Total Recorder users for $32.95 USD. The release of this add-on closes the gap between high-end audio restoration packages that cost several hundred (sometimes even thousand) dollars and low-end packages providing very mediocre quality. This is a "must have" add-on for those who want to digitize their tape or vinyl music collection.
