Hi Everyone:
Another good evening here for TA's. Lots of
frequencies with audio, many more with carriers. Everything that was in last
night was in again this evening, some even better like Norway-1314 which had an
excellent signal, just like a local. Croatia-1134 was another extremely good
signal. Many others were barely above the noise floor, which again was quite
high. Like yesterday several frequencies had 2 stations. Unfortunately IDing
what I heard was extremely difficult due to the noise, low signal level, and
rapid fading in and out in some cases. Only one positive ID heard and nothing
new. Few LW signals producing any audio. The frequencies listed below
didn't produce any audio yesterday. All times UTC
756 Unknown with opera music at 03:41
Poor
963 Unknown with Folk music in what
sounded like Russian at 03:33 Finland? Poor
1044 Unknown with faint music over/under two people
talking at 02:45 Poor.
1089 England Talksport Radio with sport at 02:50.
Parallel to 1053 Fair at times
1107 Unknown with two people talking over/under
chanting at 02:54 Egypt? Poor
1143 Unknown with female singing followed by
another female talking in what sounded like the Russian language. Could have
been Russia as they have two 150kW transmitters listed as being on this
frequency. Poor
1152 Unknown with people talking at 03:01. Too
fadey to get the language, but it sounded Slavic so this could have been
Romania. Poor at best
1179 Unknown with a man talking in what sounded
like the Swedish language at 03:05 Very noisy signal, so poor at
best.
1287 Unknown with faint instrumental music at
03:10. Later I could hear a male chorus singing. Again a very noisy signal, so
poor at best.
1314 Norway with what could have been C&W music
being sung in Norwegian. Huge signal, S-7, at times. Very short deep fades. It's
been many months since I last heard Norway on this frequency at this
level.
