Patrick,
I've been watching the issue of supposed attachments showing up in your
e-mail messages, and I may have an idea. I was using Eudora Pro, but dropped
that, and I'm now using Outlook Express. With Eudora, the only time I saw
the attachment symbol was when someone sent me an attachment. With Outlook
Express, anyone including the original message in their reply shows up as an
attachment.
Today's messages relating to "1630 UNID" from Mike Hawkins and Doug
Pifer showed up as attachments when they included the original message in
their reply. When their messages were original and not a reply, no
attachment. This may be a quirk of Outlook Express, but briefly checking
e-mails from other mailing lists, I note the same thing.
So, this message is going out as a reply, and I'll resend it as an
original. Will be interesting to see what happens.
Mike

| Hi Doug,
|
| It could be a pirate or a Part 15 as others mentioned. I have heard a
| few pirates through the years. I remember one in Portland on 1620 khz
| years back run by some High School kids. I even went over to their house
| and got a QSL. I heard it out here, but rather weakly. I think he was
| putting out 5 watts or so.
