Hi Bruce,
This isn't an effort to pat ourselves on the back, but I give credit to
DX'ers in sending out reports, DX test or otherwise. I don't send out
reports often, but when I do, I seem to spend a good amount of time creating
a nicely crafted letter and lately, constructing an audio disc, if
practical. (Not to mention the rest of the logistics.) As always, the
results vary, but when a verification doe's arrive in the mail, it IS just
like a Christmas present. IMO-receiving a "two-second" form letter is fine,
but nothing beats a verie with a personal note saying that they were excited
to receive your report. That can turn a nice catch into an event to be
remembered. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Thanks for the replies, Patrick, Nick and Doug. I'm glad I am not alone. A
veri from them would make a nice Christmas present.

Bruce
