Some stuff from the Seattle area:
1090 KYCW Seattle will switch from classic country to AirAmerica talk
and change calls to KPTK, effective Monday 10/15 at 0001 LT
1480 KNTB Lakewood, apparently still on the air but just barely. Drove
through the Tacoma area 10/17 on I-5 and heard what I think was them
w/60s-70s rock very weak between Fort Lewis & Tacoma Mall, only
announcement I heard was a badly distorted PSA. Sounded like it was
using much less than listed 1kw and was overpowered by a KIRO-KHTH
mixing product (710 + 770 = 1480) north of the mall. Then again, maybe
this was some 50-year old kid's pirate.
1490 KBRO Bremerton, has been off the air for at least two weeks, so
probably silent
1500 Fort Lewis (Army Base) TIS noted while driving on I-5 10/17, IDing
as "Fort Lewis Command Information Radio", mostly info about access to
the base.
Congrats to everyone who heard the WRCG test. I totally forgot about it
until I logged on late last night and read the messages.
Bruce
