WFAN'S Ed Randall to Host Live Fan Call-In Radio Show

'Under The Lights' Launches Tomorrow, May 17
NEW YORK, May 16 /PRNewswire/ -- MLB Advanced Media, LP (MLBAM), the
interactive media and Internet company of Major League Baseball, announced
today that Ed Randall, one of the nation's preeminent television and radio
baseball personalities, will host a new, live fan call-in radio show
exclusively on MLB.com Radio.
Mr. Randall will make his debut tomorrow, May 17, with the new show
"Under The Lights," which will air live Monday through Friday from 10:00
p.m. ET to 1:00 a.m ET.
The new free show will make fans the featured quests giving them the
opportunity to talk with Mr. Randall about the games and the baseball issues
of the day. It will also offer interviews with baseball personalities,
players, managers, coaches, owners and umpires. Mr. Randall will take
questions from fans via e-mail at radio@xxxxxxx or by telephone at
1-800-431-0734.
Mr. Randall is considered one of baseball's foremost authorities. His
critically acclaimed series, "Ed Randall's Talking Baseball," the result of
nearly 500 interviews with the Who's Who of Baseball, has aired on various
regional sports networks across the country since 1988 and has been seen
locally on MSG-Network. In March 2002 he began hosting the only weekly radio
show devoted entirely to baseball in the #1 media market on 1050 ESPN Radio.
In 2003 the show moved to WFAN-Radio, the nation's leading sports radio
station, where the program is heard on Sunday mornings.
He has served as the New York correspondent for the ESPN-Radio Network
since its on air debut in 1992. He gained additional notoriety as the
television play-by-play voice of the Brooklyn Cyclones of the New York-Penn
League and as the play-by-play voice of the Staten Island Yankees on the YES
Network.
The author of "More Tales From The Yankee Dugout," Mr. Randall was also
tapped by the Baseball Hall of Fame to conduct the on-camera oral histories of
Hall of Famers, Negro Leaguers and players from the All American Women's
Baseball League for preservation at the Hall of Fame.
