[HCDX] Logs from Rømø
These are the stations that I identified during a couple of days on the island
of Rømø in the very southwestern part of Denmark:
710 03.30 ARGENTINA Radio Diez, Buenos Aires, 28/5, S, temperature in Buenos
Aires. 1-2 SHN
920 03.00 VENEZUELA Radio Nueva Esparta, 28/5, S, IDs, talk. 1-3 SHN
1140 02.08 CANADA CBI Sydney NS, 28/5, CBC, folk music, // 1070 (strong) and
1400. CBC ID. 1-2 SHN
1350 15.45 UK Hospital Radio Yare, 26/5, E ID. This is a 1 Watt LPAM station.
1-2 SHN
1412 10.30 UK Fresh Radio, Richmond, 27/5, E ID, traffic information. This is
a 40 Watt station. 33433 SHN
1521 04.35 UK Forest of Dean Radio, Coleford, 27/5, ID, said they had
technical difficulties but normal programming would resume asap. Was fading up
and beat dominant Classic Gold station on the fq. 0-3 SHN
1540 02.00 USA WDCD Albany NY, 28/5, E ID. 1-2 SHN
1575 00.40 UAE Radio Farda, 28/5 ID in Farsi. 4-5 SHN
1610 00.50 ANGUILLA Caribbean Beacon, 26/5, E, rlg, //6090. 1-2 SHN
1620 01.00 US VIRGIN IS WDHP Frederiksted, 27/5, E ID. 2 SHN
1640 02.20 DOMINICAN REP. Radio Juventus Don Bosco, 27/5, S ID, was fading up
under US station. 1-2 SHN
1660 02.45 USA WWRU Jersey Cits NJ, 27/5, Korean. 2-3 SHN
1660 00.35 PUERTO RICO WGIT, Canóvanas, 28/5, S ID as La Gigante. Still hear
by 02.30 when signal had improved to S9+5 (almost SINPO: 45555). SHN
1690 03.40 USA Unid. S speaking stn, probably rlg., 27/5, talk. 0-2 SHN
1690 02.32 USA WWAA Avondale Estates GA, 28/5, IDing as: "Your home for
progressive talk 16-90 Air Atlanta". 1-2 SHN
1700 01.53 USA WEUP Huntsville AL, 27/5, E ID as "The Peoples Station - Yours
WEUP". 1-3 SHN
3279.69 03.10 ECUADOR La Voz del Napo, 26/5, S, rlg, Radio Maria ID. 23332 SHN
3291.18 03.20 GUAYANA Voice of Guyana, 28/5, E, time-ann, and ann. as "560 on
your AM dial", into reggae. Strong but some utility QRM. 33333 SHN
4052.48 02.50 GUATEMALA Radio Verdad, 26/5, S, rlg. 25333 SHN
4409.8 00.30 BOLIVIA Radio Eco, 28/5, S ID & freq. ann. 23332 SHN
4498.1 02.00 BOLIVIA Radio Estambul, 28/5, full S ID. No s/off at this time
but continued till around 03.45 UTC. Very very good signal at times. Usually
2-3. SHN
4650.22 01.05 BOLIVIA Radio Santa Ana, 28/5, S, somewhat unclear ID. 24332 SHN
4774.97 02.30 PERU Radio Tarma, 26/5, S, ID, ads. 34333 SHN
4779.97 00.30 GUATEMALA Radio Cultural Coatán, 28/5, full S ID. 35333 SHN
4781.5 23.50 BOLIVIA Radio Tacana, 27/5, S ID. 24332 SHN
5699.83 01.00 PERU Radio Frecuencia, San Ignacio, 26/5, S, ID, rlg, catholic
prg, also IDing as SH. S/off 01.45. 24433 SHN
5809.72 03.30 Unid S speaking stn, 26/5, talk till 04.05 - then music. Still
here by 04.50 - but weak. Mixing product?? It really sounded like two stations
at times. 23332 SHN
6184.97 02.00 MEXICO Radio Educación, 27/5, full E ID and asking for reports.

6304.75 05.10 NETHERLANDS/PIRATE Orion Radio, 26/5, test tx in Dutch and E,
ID. 45555 SHN
I had 300 metres of longwire/beverage poiting towards west - just 2 kilometres
from the coastline. And I was using my AOR AR-7030+
