[HCDX] WRN to Launch Podcast Service
WRN to Launch Podcast Service:
(21 April, 2006)
Have you heard about podcasting? Do you own an iPod or mp3 player? Do you
listen to programmes on WRN and wish you could hear them again? Are you out
when your favourite programme is on? Well WRN's upcoming Podcast service
could be just for you!
What is podcasting?
Podcasting is the new and exciting way to listen to your favourite
programmes via WRN. Download your favourite WRN shows as mp3 podcasts and
listen to them at a more convenient time via your computer or portable
media player, such as an mp3 player or iPod.
With the WRN podcast service you will be able to download a great range of
programmes such as:
Regular weekly podcasts from a fantastic line up of international public
broadcasters;
Exclusive and unique podcasts direct from the WRN team
An extensive WRN Podcast Archive
Using Podcast Software such as iTunes, Juice or Ipodder
You can use dedicated Podcast software to automatically download your
favourite programmes each time they are updated.
Using the WRN podcasting service will be free of charge for the first three
months from launch, after which we will introduce a small fee to access
premium content whilst basic level content will remain free to download.
Get a Sneak Preview
The official launch of the WRN Podcasting service will be announced in next
week's newsletter. However, for a sneak preview of the WRN-produced
programmes they can be downloaded via iTunes, (click on podcast directory
and search for "World Radio Network"). You will hear some of the voices
behind the WRN networks.
