SOLAR FLARES  : Eruptive (C-class flares expected, probability >= 50%)
GEOMAGNETISM  : Minor geomagnetic storm expected (A>=30 or K=5)
SOLAR PROTONS : Quiet

COMMENT: The solar wind has increased strongly between 05:00 and 07:00UT this
morning, reaching a value of nearly 800km/s, indicating that the earth is still
under the influence of the equatorial extension of the coronal hole that is now
seen covering a large fraction of the northern solar hemisphere. Although the
interplanetary magnetic field is mainly pointing northwards, geomagnetic
conditions have reached minor geomagnetic storm level. These conditions are
expected to continue for the next 24 hours, while thereafter the coronal hole
influence is thought to come to an end.
