Some further notes after I have listened through the tape and reported the station:

- that English Weekly News Magazine will be broadcast every Saturday at the same time on the same frequencies, so check out 4835 at 1900 UTC on Saturdays

Hi all,

 

Just heard ORTM Bamako on 4835 kHz and tried to get identification

after a long long speech in some local language at 1900 UTC. No luck,

but stayed on the frequency anyway (all stations on 60 mb are not so

exact time keepers ...). And had a terrific surprise around 1906 UTC,

when the announcers gave station identification both in French and in

English! And then the news in English until 1918 UTC!

 

You never know what you get next on the band ...
