Been doing a lot of listening lately.  The solar disturbances over the
weekend made propagation interesting!!  Here's what's been heard....

GUAM  15330, KSDA, 1200, Just caught canned EG ID by man while passing
"...The Voice of Hope, KSDA, Agat, Guam".  Into choral religious music,
talk by man.  Weak but readable.  (Valko 15 July)

PERU  6672.79, R. Andina, Huancabamba, Uses the slogan "La Voz de Sierra".
Morning program is, what else "Amanecer Andino".  Counted at least 9 IDs
during an announcement between 0938-0943 the other morning!!!  (Valko)

PERU  5470.86, R. San Nicolas (pres.), 0039-0048, Romantic LA ballads with
woman announcer host after every song.  What sounded like an ID at 0040.
Best heard yet, but still extremely weak.  (Valko 16 July)

PERU  6857.55, R. Difusora Huancabamba, 0052-0106*, Great lively OA
Pop-like music, man announcer with song announcements, mentiones of
Huarmaca, and Provincia de Huancabamba.  0106 man with time check,
greetings to listeners, ID, then mentioned that they would be on again at 6
AM.  Dead air, and signal gone at 0107:52.  Good.  (Valko 16 July)

CANADA  3330, CHU blacked out and WWV 5 mhz barely there at 0110.  CHU was
blasting away at regular levels by 0300 though.  (Valko 16 July)

UNID. PERU??  5850.07 LSB, 0114-0117, OA campo music, no announcements in
this short time.  Quickly recorded a Real Audio file for Hans Johnson, and
when I returned it was gone.  Strong enough to ID.  Doubt Nueva Cajamarca
as there was no carrier and the freq was rock steady.  Maybe new R.

CUBA  11705 USB, R. Havana Cuba, 0314, Political talk by woman in EG.  ID.
Very strong in USB.  (Valko 16 July)

SAUDI ARABIA  11818.1, BSKSA, 0340-0401, Long Koran, IDs in AR by man, long
talk.  ID by different man at 0400.  Good clear signal with just a very
slight drift.  (Valko 17 July)

CLANDESTINE  GERMANY  15365, V.O. Democratic Eritrea, *1600, Didn't hear
anything on their 0100 UTC Sunday time slot, but it was back on with the
usual sign on routine at 1600 on the 17th.  Fair.  (Valko 17 July)

CLANDESTINE  15550, R. International, *1659, sign on with instrumental
music, ID by man over music, then woman with sign on ID announcement,
fanfare, then talk by woman.  Quite weak but readable.  (Valko 17 July)

UNID. QTH  15175, R. Ecclesia via R. Netherlands, 1900 carrier suddenly
came on.  1910-1915 repeating IS routine of instrumental music and ID by M
in PT as "Esta emissoa Catolica da Angola, a presenta do Luanda para toda
pais, R. Ecclesia".  1915 different ID by M after IS ended "Esta a R.
Ecclesia emissoa Catolica da Angola, a transmite Luanda para todo pais",
then start of a program but immediately cut off.  Dead air continued past
1931.  So either testing, or someone goofed.  Fairly strong and clear.  I'm
actually surprised (and pleased) this is on!!  Also heard on 15195
0540-0555 later that night.  (Valko 17 July)

NIGERIA  7265.49, V.O. Nigeria, 0554-0603, Some sort of political report by
man but couldn't copy most of it due to the heavy accent.  Drums with
canned "My Africa" essay contest winners announcement.  ID by woman, then
program "Agenda on Peace".  Very strong on this new freq but a bit
distorted.  (Valko 18 July)
