A somewhat disappointing weekend, DX wise, with mediocore conditions. Here
are a few:
UZBEKISTAN 17775 Radio Tashkent in English at 1350 with address and fax
numbers, etc. Poor to fair, with 15295 (poor), and 9715 (fair) in
parallel. (Salmaniw, 20 May).
MONGOLIA 12085 Voice of Mongolia, with English from the same lady
announcer at 1500. Poor, to fair at best, compared with often good
reception a month ago. (Salmaniw, 20 May).
ROMANIA 17805 Radio Romania International in English at 1755 with good
reception. Parallels 15250 (fair), 15390 (fair with cochannel), 17735
(fair). (Salmaniw, 20 May).
PHILIPINES 11720 Radio Filipinas in Tagalog at 1758, parallel to 15190,
and 17720. All with armchair copy. (Salmaniw, 20 May).
UKRAINE 13590 Radio Ukraine International heard here again at 0300 in
English, with fair reception, gone totally when rechecked about 0345. Not
sure if this indeed is the 1000 kw transmitter in Lviv back on the air, or
a substitute 100 kw. Propagation is too poor to be sure. (Salmaniw, 21 May).
SEYCHELLES 11559.97 FEBA in English, with a computer history program at
1513. Fair to good. (Salmaniw, 20 May).
INDIA 11620 AIR GOS in English with excellent reception at
1410. Parallels noted were 9710 (fair), 13710 (very good).(Salmaniw, 20 May).
