And with an antenna giving much skywave, this equal to 0.5 - 1 kW for a
station optimizing the ground wave. With these RSL-stations I have started
to understand how it was possible to hear many quite low powered stations
back in the 30's. They certainly did not have a very sophisticated antenna
system compared to those having been developed in USA already 50 years ago.
