Bill-

I heard WMBL for about 25 min. 27 Feb 99 on the night of a Duke basketball
game. I called the station and spoke with the Operations  Manager.  I
questioned him about hearing WMBL so well, even OVER CBL at 50 kW on this
particular night. He said they were using 44 watts but (paraphrasing)
"people seem to report better reception during Duke games"(!). He said
something like he has no control over the Duke Blue Devil Network. This was
the best story I've heard since "I did not have sexual relations with that
woman ...".

BTW, the QSL said 1000/14 watts on it so I don't know where he came up with
44.
