this piece of information quoted from the 1st issue of Conexion Digital may
explain why the letters are bouncing back:

CHILE:
1060 KHz., CB106 Radio Santa Maria de Guadalupe es una nueva  estacion
religiosa
transmitiendo desde Santiago, con inicio de emisiones  a partir del 1ro. de
abril a las 0300 UTC. 
La tradicional Radio Mineria emitio en esa frecuencia, pero debio cerrar  sus
puertas por serios problemas economicos despues de 57 años de  existencia,
segun
comentarios de su director, Sr. Hernan Banda.  (Gabriel Ivan Barrera)
