No, Karel, that is not right. Propagastion is better as more reflection
points in the inonosphere are along the grey zone, and the optimum of
course will be if the complete path is in the grey zone.

But propagation is enhanced already if only one part (receiver or
transmitter) is in that zone! Just think of the enhanced reception of
Bolivian stations during their sunset time - the path to Europe is in
darkness, but there is no grey zone in Europe at around 2230 or 2300 UTC in
winter time. ;-)
