NORTH KOREA

"Radio for the Soldiers at the Frontline" on 1613 was observed back on
1400-1522 tonight (Dec. 18) for the first time since Nov. 26. ID at 1505
"Chonyon Chobyondurul wihan Bangsong imnida." The signal disappeared at
1522 due to presumed power shortage. The other two frequencies (2625, 3025)
have been completely inactive for nearly three months.

KCBS Chongjin (?), which returned to 3940 from 3945 last week (first noted
Dec. 12 by Toru Yamashita), has now drifted to 3942.
