freq thisÿ morning w/OA campo mx and M in SP and pres. Quechua between
songs w/manyÿ TCs and what appeared to be many ments of Huanta, and also
Santa Rosa.  Noÿ ID so call in pres.  Is usually on 4747, but has been
logged several timesÿ here since 1988 and once on 4757 in 1995.

w/pleasant sounding W anncr host.  1023-1026 ad block w/short ID after
first ad as:ÿ "Horizonte (man)  Donde  ?  usted, R. Horizonte la
compania mejor (woman)", and ending block w/apparent promo for a R.
Catolica pgm w/producer "CMR". Cont. mx w/W anncr giving IDs/TCs/song
anmnts, etc.  Played rooster crowing SFX often too!!!  A very enjoyable
pgm.  Exc. Signal sounding like 100kw  this morning!!!  Very nice!!!

rpt w/Futbol nx from Brazil and USA then rpts by M and W later.  Fading
quickly at 1040 and getting more difficult to copy.  Static cracks and

but extremely weak modulation.  Too far gone by 1050, but still in.

Deadair at 1125, then into dance island mx and back to skeds again at
1128.  ID and TC finally at 1135, island mx once again.  Strongest of
the PNG s. Stayed on past 1200, and still barely audible at 1232!!! 
Nice signal. These PNGs not on 3245, 3290, and 3345, all others on.

Arabic-flavored vcl mx, M anncr at 1129, 4+1 time ticks at 1130, then M

pretty badly by 1135, and gone by 1155.  Very surprised this was coming
in as its almost never hrd.  3344.87, 3264.64 also in, and presumably

bizarre freq choice for Baghdad observed Oct. 3 with what seemed
anti-Saudi rhetoric as well as typical Middle Eastern vocals; not there
next day. Had been first noted Sept. 30 on 9115.7 at 1838-1859* and
again Oct. 1 on the same reading at 1825. Also faintly audible on //
9715 well under DW Russian; nothing on 11292v or 11787v any of these
days when checked. Audio always too low to catch a spoken ID. ---HILL,

with pop songs and woman talking; audio constantly fading up and down,
but horribly distorted even when at adequate level. Impossible even to
guess at language, although it didn't sound like scheduled German.
Possibly changed to English at 1835, but that's just a guess based on
the cadence. Georgia's SWBC xmtrs, both domestic and external, have

(perhaps a few words of English), music through 2400 UT s/off without
any announcement, but full NA (matched with NA on Microsoft Bookshelf
CD). Taped across top of hours but no decent ID heard. Signal best 21,
22, dropping a bit after 23. Interestingly, bubble jammer noted equal to
CRTV at t/in 20 UT, seemed to disappear by 2030; no idea what that is
about. Probable Uzbek Radio (IS heard 0030) took over 4850 after CRTV
carrier drop, just above noise level, not as strong as AIR running s6 on

a verification letter in one month. They added a CHNS sticker,a schedule

me:"Thanks for the cassette and the report. I am interested in reports
technically.We are only at 50 watts but hope to get back to 500 watts
soon. I've added a timed ID saying CHNX and where we are in July and
hope it helps to ID our station. Keep listening and I remain your
