The big news here is that I've been busy & away & I'm just starting to get

GOOD NEWS FOR QSL WHORE-HOUNDS:
Two of the most widely heard stations of recent history are now verifying. As promised, Radio Metallica Worldwide QSLs are starting to show up in listeners' mailboxes. And WARR QSLs landed in Michael Folk's and Charlie Crawford's mailboxes this week.

WEINER RADIOSHIP PROJECT MOVES AHEAD. During an interview on the Howard Stern show July 25th, Allan Weiner said the ocean going tug Electra is being outfitted as a radioship at a shipyard in Boston. Conditions on the 48m band were truely crap! Many stations were
buried in the noise and were not listenable.
What on earth is going on around 5800/5805, not only were conditions
bad but the two stations were doing there best to wipe each other out!
I am not sure 5780 is a good frequency for RFL to use, it is occupied
by a strong utility station at night and so would not be a good idea for
the overnight transmissions we enjoy from this otherwise excellent station.
