[IRCA] Puyallup, WA Ultralight TP's for 9-28

Asian results here were certainly closer to Colin's Victoria version than Nick's Gabriola Island version. With the exception of 1575-VOA (which had one of its better mornings of the new season) energetic audio was limited to several Japanese and Korean big guns, which didn't seem very impressedÂwith sunrise enhancement.
ÂÂ
At my 1255 start time both 1566-HLAZ and 1575-VOA were managing good peaks in and out, but even theÂJapaneseÂbig guns were sounding anemic. Sunrise enhancement around 1315 didn't seem to boost up much of anything, and even made 1566 and 1575 loose some of their punch. Almost nothing was sounding very healthy right up until 1340, when the NHK big upÂfrom the dead around 1350 to reach very good peaks in the Portland splatter, while second-tier Asians on 603 (HLSA), 657 and 738 came up to threshold levels. The 1053-Jammer had the same Japanese-sounding competition as during most of last week, and 1134-JOQR made another fair appearance. The somewhat enhanced conditions didn't stick around for long as propagation crashed around 1358, leaving a subdued 972-HLCA as the sole survivor at the 1400 TOH. Overall the session was pretty much of a clunker here, but the late Asian surge was clear enough to make it understandable how a DXing fanatic on an ocean beachÂ(or Canadian island) might have had some serious fun this morning.
