[IRCA] TP 13 Sep Victoria version

It was a surprisingly productive morning in bits and pieces, Asiatics first (nothing unusual except for the fact that the K-index had been 7 about half a day earlier), then Aussies. Though mostly weak, there were moments of better quality signals, believe it or not.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

828 JOBB 1326UT, best on north Flag, man in JJ, briefly at this level, and //747.

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

594 JOAK NHK pips had been heard weakly at 1200 and 1300UT, but this peaked up nicely at 1307UT with man declaiming in JJ (not quite Gary's level, but not bad...)

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

567 JOIK man in JJ //594 1301UT
612 4QR countryish mx 1330UT, ID'd later when weaker by parallels
702 2BL woman in DU EE //612 1336UT
747 JOIB man talking JJ 1326UT //828
774 JOUB man talking JJ 1325UT //828
1566 HLAZ man in JJ 1307UT

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music) :

774 3LO country mx //612 1350UT, 6 pips at 1400UT crept through. Weak DUs can make it by holding in there until after local sunrise.
828 3GI mostly a walking bass line creeping through 1341UT, but //612
846 man mumbling 1325UT, too weak to guess at language
855 4QO/4QB weak w/walking bass line //612 1343UT
891 androgynous vocal pop 1339UT; woman talking, DU EE inflection 1346UT
909 Southern Star?? laid back vocal mx 1331UT

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary"audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter):

873 918 963 1008 1179 1377 1503 1548

best wishes,

Nick
